COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – an update for our clients.

COVID-19 Update

December 17, 2020

Please be aware that we are still operating both branches as closed premises. With the arrival of the Omicron variant in Scotland and changes to self-isolation rules, please note:

  • On arrival at the surgery for an appointment or to collect medication, please call our reception staff to let them know you are outside. A member of the team will come out and assist you.
  • If possible, please wait in your car with your pet and the vet will come out to see you.
  • If you are attending for a consultation, one of the vets will take your pets history and then take the pet in for examination while you wait outside.
  • When your pet is ready to go home, the vet will bring them outside to you and one of our veterinary nurses or receptionists will take your prescribed medication to the table at the front of the building.
  • We have a covered yard area where you can wait if you are not in a vehicle.
  • Please park with respect to our neighbours and passing traffic, especially at the Rutherglen surgery where the road can be very busy.
  • 48 hours notice is required for repeat prescriptions.
  • If you, or someone in your household is suffering symptoms of COVID 19 or has been confirmed positive, please do NOT attend the surgery with your pet. Call our reception team and we will make arrangements to assist you.
  • We ask when speaking to our staff members outside, please wear a mask unless exempt.

We are on occasion short staffed which means our team are working very hard to maintain our service, we ask for your understanding at all times.

Many thanks.
